Punta Sam is on the beach,
north of downtown Cancun and the hotel zone, near the ferry to Isla
Mujeres. It is a beachfront area with an entirely different atmosphere
than Cancun's main hotel zone. It is far more laid-back and
much more like downtown Cancun as far as restaurants and shops.
It is a 10 minute bus or taxi ride to the school.

The Hacienda Punta Sam, a low-density property built in two levels,
is a 35-room hotel surrounded by tropical native vegetation on
a private beach in the heart of the Mujeres Bay directly facing
Isla Mujeres. It is only minutes away from the pier in Puerto
Juarez which offers ferry service to the island. The hotel features
a freshwater swimming pool with swim-up bar, a children's pool
plus a private dock which is very popular for sun bathing. In
addition, the hotel features a car rental agency and a travel
desk offering trips and tours to all local attractions. There
are two restaurants located on the property which feature buffet
dining and there are two bars specializing in tropical drinks.
