options are walking distance to the school, a 5-10 minute bus ride to the nearest
beaches, much less touristy than the hotel zone, and gives you more
opportunities to practice your Spanish!

We can arrange homestays for
students who would like to stay with a local family. The options
vary by location and amenities, and all include at least 2 meals per
day. Our homestays options are located further out from the center
of downtown, and are not walking distance to the school,
but are a short bus or taxi ride away. Most do not have AC or private bath. Homestays cannot
accommodate more than two people per home. None of the families
have young children at home, and may not be equipped for small
children. All homestays require
a 1-week minimum stay. Payment is required in full to reserve a
homestay. |

popular alternative to a traditional homestay. Punta
Allen Guest House is located in the heart of Cancun, a 10-15 minute
walk from the school. Breakfast is served every day in their
dining room and has a family atmosphere. They have 21 comfortable
rooms, decorated with those little details that make you feel at home,
all equipped with air conditioning, color TV and a private bathroom.
The bus terminal is just a few meters from the hotel, which allows
transportation to any destination. |

For the most part, the downtown hotels don't
offer anything near the luxury or amenities of the Hotel Zone properties.
They will, however, give you the opportunity to stay in a popular
resort without paying resort prices. And staying downtown gives
you much more local Mexican flavor. Many downtown hotels have pools,
as well as free shuttle service to the beach. By public bus,
the nearest beaches are 5 to 10 minutes away from downtown.
